Poppets

Heres a picture of one of the poppets i use, After getting my mebership back from the Association of Pole lathe Turners i have spoken to a few of there other members about kick starting the North Kent meetings and it looks like it going to be good all round.

Spoon Carving knives

Well this morning i have just placed an order for four Spoon
carving and a fine detail carving knife. So keep your eyes peeled for the spoons to start showing on the blog.

I am aiming for the first of the Capstone Green Wood Workers

Three days on

I have made a vice clamp for my shave horse that im building and have managed to track down a length of timber for the body some more pins to make and then i can really get to work as its hard right now to shave the timber down ready for turning.

Pole lathe begins on 23rd September

So its here and ready to go, its all set up and now i can have ago at this pole lathe stuff.
